Functional Characteristics:Forms a protective film on the wood surface to reduce adhesion to molding materials; simultaneously penetrates wood pores to prevent deformation, cracking, and extend mold service life.
a.Oil-based Release Agents (Recommended)
- Mineral oil-based:Excellent isolation effect, long-lasting, contains anti-rust additives; suitable for general wood molds.
- Vegetable oil-based (e.g., FUSONI):Environmentally friendly with strong release performance; specifically designed for oriented strand board (OSB) bonded with MDI/PMDI adhesives.
- Applicability:Ideal for highly absorbent wood molds and hardwood formwork—oil-based formulas offer long-lasting adhesion and resistance to peeling.
b.Water-based Release Agents (Eco-friendly Option)
- High-molecular composite formula: Rapid film formation, water-wash resistant, and environmentally friendly; suitable for repeated use.
- Applicability:Projects with strict environmental requirements and frequently reused formwork.
c.Special-function Release Agents
Functional Characteristics:Prevents adhesion between impregnated paper and hot press plates, ensures product surface quality, minimizes residues, and improves production efficiency.
- Directly added to resin systems (melamine, phenolic, or urea-formaldehyde resins) and impregnated into paper with the resin.
- Prevents residue buildup and subsequent adhesion to hot press plates; suitable for high-pressure and low-pressure impregnation processes.
- Typical products:Concentrol Internal Release Agent, Chem-Trend Internal Release Agent.
b.External Release Agents
- Coated on the mold surface to form an isolation film; suitable for scenarios where internal release agents cannot be added.
- Silicone-acrylic release agents:Suitable for water-soluble melamine and urea-formaldehyde resins; free of paraffin and silicone oil, environmentally friendly.
- Water-based release agent A183:Suitable for water-soluble melamine and urea-formaldehyde resins; free of paraffin and silicone oil, environmentally friendly.
High-temperature Stable Type
- Does not decompose or fail at pressing temperatures (180-200℃); suitable for high-temperature processes.
- Silicone-based or silicone-acrylic-based formulas with outstanding high-temperature resistance.
Functional Characteristics:Forms an isolation film at high temperatures to prevent adhesion between glass and molds, protects molds, and improves the surface quality and yield rate of glass products.
a.Water-based High-temperature Release Agents (Mainstream Choice)
- Withstands temperatures of 800-1200℃; water-based, non-toxic, environmentally friendly, and free of harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
- Strong film adhesion, no reaction with molten glass; protects molds and enhances product transparency.
- Applicability:High-temperature molding processes for glass bottles, glass tubes, optical glass, etc.
b.Special-component Release Agents
- Boron nitride coatings:Replace traditional graphite to form a thinner isolation layer; reduces surface defects and extends mold life.
- Food-grade greases:Used for food-contact glass products; safe, non-toxic, and low in harmful volatiles.
c.Silicone-based Release Agents
- Excellent chemical stability and release performance; the preferred choice for glass bottles and glass tubes.
- High-temperature resistant, anti-oxidative, and provides mold protection.
