Definition
Polyurethane adhesives refer to adhesives containing urethane groups or isocyanate groups in their molecular chains. One-component polyurethane prepolymers cure through reaction with moisture in the air; two-component types cure via the reaction between isocyanates and polyols.
Classification

One-Component Polyurethane Adhesive (1K PU): Cures through crosslinking reaction by absorbing moisture from the air. After curing, it usually exhibits excellent toughness, impact resistance, aging resistance, and bonding strength.
Applications: Automotive glass bonding, composite material bonding (e.g., wind turbine blades), architectural sealing.
Two-Component Polyurethane Adhesive (2K PU): Consists of a base agent (Component A) and a curing agent (Component B), which cure through chemical reaction after mixing in a specific ratio. By adjusting the formulation of Components A and B, properties such as hardness, modulus, and curing speed can be significantly modified.
Applications: Structural bonding (e.g., metal-to-plastic bonding), transportation, electronic component packaging.
Polyurethane Reactive Hot Melt Adhesive (PUR): Applied by heating and melting. After molten application, the adhesive reacts with moisture in the air for further crosslinking and curing, forming a final bond with excellent heat resistance and chemical resistance.
Applications: Structural bonding of electronic products (e.g., mobile phones, tablets), wood edge banding, automotive interiors.

Excellent Toughness: Combines high strength and good elasticity, with outstanding impact resistance, vibration resistance, and peel resistance.
Good Wear Resistance: Commonly used for surfaces requiring friction resistance.
Adjustable Performance: Can range from rigid to highly flexible, adapting to differences in thermal expansion coefficients of various substrates.
